When the Honeymoon Is Over
Song of Solomon 5:2-6:13

Introduction:

Reality is that strain and stress is common to all relationships. Even Solomon and his new bride experienced that reality. Many throw communication out the window. They pay for it later, when the honeymoon is over:

I. Realize Human Nature Lives in Your House (5:2-8).

II. Focus on Your Mate’s Positive Qualities (5:9-15).

III. Look for the Diamonds in Your Darkness (5:16-6:3).

Conclusion:

Notice the depth of commitment: “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine”—a relationship exceeded only by that of Christ to us.
